MilAero Academy

The MilAero Academy is the vision of Paul Greedy who founded MilAero Electronics Atlantic Inc. 25 years ago in Dartmouth. Paul started his career as an apprentice at British Aerospace in England working on the Concord and other programs. Paul immigrated to Canada in 1982 to Toronto and later to Halifax in 1987 to help open the Litton Systems Canada (now L3Harris MAS) facility at Aerotech Park.

Paul always wanted to set up a training school to develop newcomers to the workforce and Aerospace & Defense industry to become skilled employees, specifically in the wire harness manufacturing sector. The current demand for skilled employees has made Paul’s vision become a necessity.

The MilAero Academy is an in-house, IPC 620 training school – both theory and practical, which certifies employees to the high standards required by our aerospace and defence customers.

The Academy will also provide:

  • Orientation and Onboarding of new employees,
  • Controlled Goods training
  • Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) training
  • Foreign Object Debris (FOD) training
  • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) training
  • Fibre Optic Technician training
